LME Week Asia 2016 was successfully launched by Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center on June 14, 2016. Apart from LME, HKEX, participants came from leading metal enterprises in Asia, and other HK based exchanges. Chairman Liu Angsheng was invited to attend the conference on behalf of Tianfu Mercantile Exchange (TME).

Regarded as the world’s largest conference for metal traders, LME Week Asia 2016 falls into the fourth of its kind this year. On the occasion, Charles Li, CEO of HKEX, proclaimed HKEX’s official engagement in the mainland’s spot market transactions and revealed the latest advance of its spot commodity trading platform established in Qianhai,Shenzhen.

By means of LME’s centennial matured experience in spot trading area so as to boost a healthy development of inland spot market regulation, both President Li and Chairman Liu agreed upon deepening a mutual cooperation in developing inland spot market.
